About the Librarian

Nick Campbell is the keeper of the Impossible Library blog about children’s books old and new. In other hats (or cardigans) he is a bookseller, writer and haphazard collector, and books for young readers have always been a consistent thread, looping and tangling but just about holding everything together.

Besides his 2018 PhD thesis, ‘Children’s Neo-Romanticism’ (or ‘folk horror in children’s books’ as he’ll sometimes describe it) he’s previously written fiction, articles and reviews.
